The Jim Thorpe Memorial Day 10k is a run through beautiful historic Jim Thorpe. All proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics of Carbon County.

TEAM RELAY RACE ADDED THIS YEAR!

Relay teams will consist of 6 runners. The last leg is short, one lap around the JTHS track if you would like to have a child or your Special Olympics Athlete finish the race!

REGISTRATION: Post registration and packet pick-up will be at the Jim Thorpe Area High School Sports Complex between 6:30am and 7:45am on May 26th, 2014.

START: Transportation will be provided to the start at Mauch Chunk Lake Park. The lead runner for relay teams will start at the same time as individual 10k runners.

COURSE: Start at Mauch Chunk Lake to the bottom of Flagstaff Mountain (1st Exchange Point). The race will continue on W. Broadway and turn RIGHT onto Race Street where runners will cross Susquehanna Street (2nd Exchange Point) and continue to Lehigh Avenue and the Inter-borough bridge (Rt. 903) Cross the Inter-borough bridge (3rd Exchange Point in front of St. Joseph's Church) proceed uphill and circle the Jim Thorpe Monument (4th Exchange Point) to the start of the JTHS Track (5th and final Exchange Point) to run the final lap in front of your cheering teammates and fans, finishing at the 50 yard line of the sports complex.

FEES:  Registration is $20.00 BEFORE Monday, May 15, 2014. TEAMS: $90 per Team BEFORE Monday, May 15, 2014

Post registration and the day of the race registration:  Individual Runners $25.00. Teams $120

AWARDS:  The first 3 men and the first 3 women to finish will receive awards. The awards may increase based on pre-registration.
